Do you love designer fashion?  If so, we would love for you to join our team as a Consignment Buyer Apprentice. 

South Rock Resale is a consignment boutique in Ocean Park, Surrey BC. We specialize in curated pre-loved pieces to inspire confidence, style, and luxury into your wardrobe.

We have been in business for just over 2 years and we are growing! We have an opening for a consignment buyer. The position will be full-time, 35-40 hours/week. Potential shifts are Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm.

Our Consignment Buyer is responsible for:

• Accepting incoming consignment drop-offs from customers
• Using a consignment database to track inventory drop-offs and maintain accurate data entry with attention to detail
• Reviewing incoming consignment for acceptance for sale, using knowledge of current trends, store consignment criteria, and store inventory needs
• Communicating with customers regarding account information and store consignment policies and criteria
• Maintaining organization of incoming consignment orders at various stages, including pre-and post-review
• Preparing and sorting clothing for allocation of markdown, return, and donation

Additional responsibilities and growth opportunities include:

• Store operations and sales floor assisting customers with styling while providing exceptional customer service
• Merchandising and displays to optimize sell-through of all products
• Point of sale transactions
• Preparing store for opening and closing with rotating cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, garbage and recycling, and restocking supplies
• Responsible for accurate cash handling and record-keeping
• Shipping and receiving of online orders
• In store events
• Off site events and pop-ups
• Content creation for social media including photography, video editing, try on’s and stories
• Coordination and strategy of products for website

• Passion, interest, and knowledge of fashion brands, trends, styles and fit from contemporary to designer
• A high affinity for customer service and strong communication skills
• Experience & comfort working with a diverse clientele
• A perspective of body positivity for all
• Interest in lending your creativity to customers, overall store aesthetic and social media
• Comfortable with social media and content creation
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong work ethic
• Experience using computers, including database and POS systems
• Flexible attitude for variable workflow and task-shifts throughout the day

• Work well both independently and in a team environment
• Be punctual and self-motivated
• Communicate clearly in-person and on the phone
• Can do attitude in an entrepreneurial and growth environment
• Physical demands*: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly. Ability to bend/stoop and reach/pull frequently. Ability to carry and walk/stand constantly for an eight-hour shift

• Hourly pay rate starts at $24/hour
